The pursuit of scientific understanding is certainly fascinating,
yet where it ultimately leads is toward spirituality and ethics.
Exploring phenomena through direct observation and physical experience is important,
but humans already grasp the general outlines through an intuitive sense.
Beyond this point lies the realm of the divine.
There are, in fact, worlds in which people apply such thoughtful restraint and choose to hold back.
Language can create misunderstandings,
yet it remains the most rational means by which humans communicate,
and it is a medium through which ideas can be conveyed to third parties and to future generations.
For example, when considering playability in golf,
and even when thinking about turf health and sustainability,
it is ultimately human excess that ends up causing human suffering.
There is meaning in the fact that etiquette and manners come before laws and rules.
It is better to reflect on this while we still have the ability to think clearly.
